This section gives some information about people working at ThinkCollabs. There are three different status: staff, members and collaborators.
ThinkCollabs (staff)
Nico is one of the founders of ThinkCollabs. He received a Ph.D degree in Computer Science from the University of Rennes 1 (France) in 2006. Before creating ThinkCollabs, Nico was an assistant professor at INSA of Rennes (the French National Institute of Applied Sciences) in the Department of Computer Science. Nico’s research focuses on information retrieval and more precisely on visual interfaces and evaluation.

ThinkCollabs (staff), IGN
Julien is one of the founders of ThinkCollabs. He received a Ph.D degree in Computer Science from the University of Rennes 1 (France) in 2006. Before creating ThinkCollabs, Julien was a PostDoc and Research Engineer at INRIA Paris-Rocquencourt in the MIRAGES team. He is now a researcher at the French National Geographic Institute (IGN) in the COGIT lab.
Julien’s research focuses on urban representation, modelling and simulation.
He is part of the GeOpenSim project on urban simulation.

ThinkCollabs, INRIA-Microsoft Research
In October 2002, Gurvan started a joint PhD degree in Computer Science between University of Rennes 1 (France) and Kansas State University (USA). He defended his thesis on confidentiality monitoring in 2007. He is now a PostDoc at the INRIA-Microsoft Research Joint Centre. Gurvan’s research focuses on program analyses, more precisely on dynamic and static analyses of noninterference (a dependency property subsuming confidentiality).

ThinkCollabs, IRIT (LILAC Team)
ThinkCollabs
Lionel Barrand is one of the founders of ThinkCollabs. He received a master’s degree in psychology and ergonomics and has been working for two years at INRIA Paris-Rocquencourt as Ph. D. candidate in ergonomics in the Eiffel 2 lab. Lionel’s research focuses on all the forms of remote working, especially collaborative interface and new spaces for complex interactions.
ThinkCollabs, Chevron
Romain Thomas is a nice guy with a strong experience in industry.
His research interest include spatial syntax, cognition and the human memory. He mainly focuses on interdisciplinary research. He works too.
He also loves life, women, whisky and poker.
